JC Hawkins got out of prison in the 1980s and resumed his activities in and around Jacksonville, FL. He managed to keep a relatively low profile, but was involved in money laundering, narcotics trafficking, and a few people that disappeared.

I love that Jim Rohn quote, and often follow a similar one—wherever we are at this moment is exactly where we need to be.
It’s hard to stay present, because the mind wants to go to things we should do, or have done. But once we remind ourselves that it’s in the present where we hold all the power, then perhaps we can start to harness all the possibilities we have at our fingertips. Anyway, thanks for this post!
I have lived my whole life in the state of Michigan, but when I was a kid I let television take me places. I used to watch City Confidential on A&E. They profiled Biloxi Mississippi. They talked about Pete Halat and the death of Judge Vincent Sherry and his wife. I read about Norman Ladner at True crime diva. The writer there mentioned Kirksey Nix. I also remember the show talking about a man named Mike Gillitch. Does anyone think it possible that Nix, Halat, or Gillitch might have known who the killers were? Was there possibly a connection between Gillitch, Halat, Nix and Ladner’s killer/s?

I read e-books and print books about half and half. I don’t listen to audio books. I also don’t listen to podcasts. I read blogs that interest me.
👍👍👍
Very well written, a lot to consume and think about!

I would also like to see a book written about this, I’m Russ’ great-grandson.

Scary.
